SAXTON — Tussey Mountain scored a three-game sweep of Fannett-Metal on Thursday. The Lady Titans won 25-14, 25-20, and 25-17.

Sophie Brumbaugh had three kills, three aces, and a six-point service run during the match, while Brooke Horton had a service run of nine points.

“The girls communicated and played very well,” said Tussey coach Jessica Shively. “We had two players out with injuries, and some of our JV players stepped up and played well.”

Tussey’s JV (25-14, 25-20) and junior high (25-14, 25-16) teams also won with sweeps.

Tussey Mountain hosts Bellwood-Antis on Monday.

Central Cambria 3, Bedford 1

The Bedford varsity volleyball team fell to Central Cambria, 3-1, Thursday.

The Lady Red Devils won with game scores of 25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-9.

Natalie Lippincott led the Lady Bisons with 11 service points and nine digs. Riley Stahlman had 11 kills, while Raquel Imler finished the game with seven assists.
