JOHNSTOWN — Seventh-ranked Pitt-Johnstown took advantage of five falls and got a decision win at 141 by third-ranked Joey Alessandro over No. 11 Dylan Nace in a lopsided, 49-3, PSAC victory over East Stroudsburg University, Friday night in the sports Center. The Mountain Cats improved to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC.

Pitt-Johnstown got a forfeit win by Brendan Howard at 125 to start the match, and Matt Siszka pinned Jared Altan at 4:31 in the 133-pound bout to make it 12-0.

In a match-up of ranked wrestlers at 141, Pitt-Johnstown’s third-ranked Alessandro erased a 2-1 first period deficit and dealt 11th-ranked Nace a 6-2 loss at 141, before top-ranked Chris Eddins pinned Pierre Liciaga at 2:39 at 149 to increase the lead to 21-0.

Another fall at 157 from Corey Falleroni over Marquan Payne at 5:43 made it 27-0 midway through the match.

East Stroudsburg got on the scoreboard at 165 when Richard Viruet got a take down with 20 seconds remaining in the final period to defeat Gage Thomas and make it 27-3.

The Mountain Cats turned it right back around and got a fall at 1:07 from Brock Biddle over Ronnie Simmons, Jr. at 184 and a forfeit victory by Alex Delp at 197.

Tyler Oliver closed out the night and set the final scored at 49-3 when he pinned Cameron Kates at 1:32 in the 285-pound bout.

With the loss, the Warriors fell to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the PSAC.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to the Kutztown Duals next Friday and Saturday and to Gannon for a PSAC match on January 23, before returning home to host a conference match against Seton Hill on January 25 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
