HYNDMAN — The HOPE for Hyndman varsity boys’ soccer team won in overtime, 4-3, against Berlin Brothersvalley, Wednesday.
“I felt the team played a solid game today,” said Hyndman coach Brad Turner. “Our biggest problem was the inability to finish when we would get the ball to the goal area. We passed the ball well and had numerous scoring chances.
“I was proud of how the team was able to stay positive and come through with a win. Berlin played well on offense. Their speed up front gave our defense trouble.
“It was good to get in the win column. Hopefully this will be a sign of good things to come.”
Alex Cosgrove, Mason Orndorff, Damon Scheid, and Will Waltman each scored a goal, while Waltman added an assist.
