MARTINSBURG — Chestnut Ridge’s Cameron Claycomb scored a goal with 1:13 left in overtime to lift the Lions past Central, 3-2, in an LHAC matchup, Tuesday afternoon.

Jack Moyer had two goal for Ridge in the opening minutes of the second half to overcome a 2-1 deficit, but Central tied it to send it to overtime.

“I’m proud of the way the kids responded,” said Chestnut Ridge coach Nate Ritchey. “We came out flat, picked up the intensity, and then slacked off again in the last few minutes of the second half.

“With only one sub all match long, these kids dug deep and battled hard in overtime. We tied too many matches last year to be OK with that results tonight.”

Chestnut Ridge is at Bishop Carroll on Thursday.
