CLAYSBURG — Claysburg went on the road to pick up two girls’ basketball wins by topping Southern Fulton, 29-25, on Friday and beating Glendale, 46-24, on Saturday.

Against Southern Fulton, Rebekah Claar had 13 points to help the Lady Bulldogs earn with win. The game was tied at 15-15 at the half before the locals outscored the home team in the second half for the win.

The Lady Bulldogs had a much easier time against Glendale, having a 12-1 lead after one quarter and a 28-5 lead at the half.

Three Claysburg girls ended in double-digit scoring with Bailey Garver hitting for 15, while Kalei Carson and Claar both added 11.

Claysburg traveled to Juniata Valley on Monday, and the Lady Bulldogs will host Glendale on Wednesday.

Bishop McCort 61, Bedford 59 2OT

Bishop McCort got 23 points from Lexi Martin to help the Crimson Crushers edge past Bedford, 61-59 in double overtime, Saturday.

The game was tied after regulation, 43-43, and at 52-52 after the first overtime.

Bedford was led by Sydney Taracatac, who had 22, and Josie Shuke with 14 points. Jordan Brown added 10.

Bedford went to Bishop Guilfoyle on Monday and will host Greater Johnstown on Wednesday.

Lainie Treece scored 21 of the Everett’s 42 points in the loss.

Everett hosted Tussey Mountain on Monday, and the Lady Warriors will welcome Fannett-Metal on Wednesday.

FISHERTOWN — Chestnut Ridge dropped two contests to LHAC foes, falling to Central Cambria, 53-30, on Friday and 38-22 to Richland on Saturday.

Abby Walwro had 12 points to pace the Lady Red Devils against Ridge on Friday.

Belle Bosch had 14 points for the Lady Lions.

Richland used a 16-2 advantage in the second quarter for the difference in their win over Ridge.

Isabella Burke led the Lady Rams with 16 points.

Bosch had 12 to pace the Lady Lions.

Ridge hosted Bishop Carroll on Monday night, and will travel to Cambria Heights on Tuesday.
