EVERETT — Claysburg-Kimmel squeaked past Everett in a 3-2 victory, Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs won with game scores of 23-25, 25-10, 17-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Claysburg’s Rebekah Claar led the night with 16 service points. Everett was paced by Ashlyn Hicks’ 15 points.

Liah Ramsey led the Lady Warriors with 24 assists, while Marissa Hillegas led Everett with 15 kills and six blocks.

Lainie Treece led Everett with 19 digs.

Everett senior Ella Hinish was honored before the game for surpassing 500 digs last month, and according to Everett head coach Sue Conner, the Lady Warrior went past 600 in the loss.

Tussey Mountain 3, Fannett-Metal 0

SAXTON — The Tussey Mountain volleyball squad upended Fannett-Metal, 3-0, Tuesday.

The Lady Titans used game scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-22 to win.

“We had a lot of good volleys tonight,” said TM coach Jessica Shively.

“We had a lot of hustling on both sides of the net. I’m proud of our girls for pulling out the win.”

Tussey Mountain’s Karlee Horton led the night with 19 digs, while Brooke Horton added eight assists.

Cara Benton led the locals with four kills.

The junior high team won, 2-0, while the JV squad needed three games, 2-1.

Bedford 3, Central 0

MARTINSBURG — Bedford swept Central in an LHAC match with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-17, Tuesday night.

Natalie Lippincott had 18 kills and five digs, while Bailey Stahlman had 10 kills and a block. Riley Ruffley had 13 assists, and Laney Lafferty had 22. Emma Harclerode had 13 digs.

Bedford, 9-3, was at Greater Johnstown on Wednesday and hosts Westmont Hilltop on Thursday.
