SCHELLSBURG — Chestnut Ridge’s Calan Bollman and Ava Whysong won their respective cross country races during Tuesday’s meet at Shawnee.

The Lion boys won 26-29 against Meyersdale. The Lady Lions also beat the Lady Red Raiders, 26-29, but fell to Johnstown Christian, 24-31.

The Lions raced against HOPE for Hyndman and Foundations Christian Academy.

Bollman won the boys’ race in 17:41. Chestnut Ridge’s Kevin Myers was second, 18:19; Foundation’s Reece Moyer was third, 20:00l while Meyersdale’s Levi Hersch and Noah Kretchman was fourth and fifth respectively.

Whysong won the girls’ race in 21:54. Johnstown Christian’s Unity Miller was second, and Meyersdale’s Elizabeth Saylor was third.

Emily Mowry was 14th overall for Foundations, 30:37; while HOPE for Hyndman’s Bruck Ohler was 15th, 34:45.

SCHELLSBURG — The Chestnut Ridge and Foundations Christian junior high cross country teams competed against Johnstown Christian and Meyersdale, Tuesday.

There were no team scores for either the boys or girls.

Chestnut Ridge’s Colby Kaufman won the boys’ race in 8:48, while Chestnut Ridge’s Lydia Carnwath won the girls’ race in 9:25.

FCA’s Jason Zimmerman finished the boys’ race fourth, 9:56, while Anna Moyer was seventh in the girls’ race, 10:44.
