Robert H. “Bobby” Reed, 75, of Byrne Road, Schellsburg, Bedford County, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at Meyersdale Health & Rehabilitation Center, Meyersdale.

Mr. Reed was born in Cumberland, Md., on Nov. 12, 1945, son of the late Hyder D. and Phyllis J. (Baldwin) Reed.

Bob is survived by his two sons: Howard “Skeeter” (Heather) of Everett and Dustin (Christa) of Martins Ferry, Ohio; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his fiancé, Judy Hout; and his two beloved pets, Buddy and Kitty.

Robert was preceded in death by his late wife, Judy J. (Mueller) Reed, whom he married on Dec. 30, 1966; she preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2005, and daughter-in-law, Dalena Reed.

He was a 1963 graduate of Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Md.

Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968, where he served in the Six Day War in Libya.

He was a retired food sales representative.

Bobby was a softball and baseball player, coach and umpire for many years. During his younger years, he was active with the Saddle Club and Moon Glo Roller Derby. Bob was a lifetime member of Shawnee Valley Volunteer Fire Co. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Bobby also enjoyed the outdoors and hunted and fished for many years. Bob was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 and the Bedford American Legion Post #119.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, Oct. 15, from noon to 6 p.m. at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, with a funeral service at 6 p.m. with Pastor David Lambert officiating.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
