Alum Bank

Nancy L. Barefoot, 78, of Alum Bank, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Mrs. Barefoot was born in East St. Clair Township on Oct. 4, 1940, daughter of the late Harold and Effie (Way) Kline.

In 1961, Nancy married Roy Fetterman he preceded her in death in 1964. She then married Dr. James E. Barefoot in 1965. He preceded her in death in 1986.

She is survived by son, James E. Barefoot, of Alum Bank; daughter, Christina Hope Hudson, of Palmetto Bay, Fla.; grandson, Dylan James Hudson; granddaughter, Corinne Jessie Hudson; brother, Ronald, husband of Joyce (Gohn) Kline, of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Mary (Blessing), widow of Richard Kline, of York.

Nancy is preceded in death by her 1st husband Roy Fetterman; 2nd husband Dr. James E. Barefoot; and brother, Richard Kline.

Nancy is a 1958 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. She than graduated in 1961 from Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She then furthered her education by attending the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as a nurse for many years and also worked in her late husband Dr. James E. Barefoot’s office. She was a member of Alum Bank United Methodist Church Alum Bank. Nancy was also a member of the Bedford Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR).

A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home Inc, Pleasantville at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 17, with Pastor Raymond Beal officiating. Interment at Pleasantville Cemetery, Alum Bank. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Nancy L. Barefoot to the Bedford Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution (DAR). Online condolences may be made at Arrangements entrusted to Jack H.
