Mervin R. Emerick, 87, of Buffalo Mills, passed away Thursday July 30, 2020, at UPMC Altoona.
He was born Oct, 22, 1932, in Glen Savage, a son of the late Roy and Belma (Baer) Emerick.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean (Logsdon) Emerick in 2002; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa (Evans) Emerick.
He is urvived by a son, Steven Emerick Sr.; grandchildren Kelly Carnell and husband Troy; Steven Jr. and wife Chelsea, all of Hyndman; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Grayson Harshberger; step-great-grandchildren TJ, 1Emily, Shania and Lucas Carnell; sisters Dorothy McCoy and husband John, of Hyndman; Susan Larson and husband Ron, of McConnellsburg; brothers Glenn Emerick and Manford Emerick and wife Wilda both of Hyndman; and many nieces and nephews.
Mervin was a logger with Houseworth Lumber and a lifelong farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during Korea.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family will conduct the funeral service privately.
Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Fairhope.
