Karry Joe Teeter, 77, of Martinsburg, passed away on May 3, 2021, at his home.

He was born on Sept. 22, 1943, in New Enterprise, son of the late Clair C. and Inez M. (Dimond) Teeter.

Karry was a graduate of Northern Bedford High School and a diesel mechanic by trade. He served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1961 to 1967. Karry enjoyed football and baseball. He was a Master Mason Chaplain Tall Cedar, a life member of the VFW, and served as Commandant of the Marine Corp League.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Clayton Teeter, and a sister, Mona Lou Teeter.

Surviving are daughter, Jodie Lynn Teeter of Colby, Wisc.; daughter, Bessy Lee Cotignola (Scott) of Edmond, Okla.; grandchildren: Baylee, Mollie, Daniel, and Allie; sister, Sandra Bessinger; and brothers, Harry Dean Teeter and Clair Allen Teeter.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury. At 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, a graveside service will take place with full military honors at the New Enterprise Cemetery; Cameron Bowser and Beth Pyles will be officiating. Interment will be in the New Enterprise Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karry’s name can be made to John’s Way Medical Equipment Ministry.
