The Village at Morrisons Cove

Judith A. Ritchey, 76, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Curryville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at the home.

She was born July 22, 1943, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late William and Ethel (Frederick) Ritchey.

Surviving are a daughter, Stacey Dick and companion, Matt Johnson, of New Enterprise; three grandchildren: Kyle Dick (Ashley) of Roaring Spring, Keith Dick (Miranda) of Loysburg and Madison Troy (Cody) of New Enterprise; two great-grandchildren: Braelynn and Landon, and Madison is expecting another great-grandchild in April; a sister, Peggy Shaffer (Gene) of Woodbury; and her former son-in-law, C. Edward Dick of New Enterprise.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Ritchey, and a sister, Sharon Minielli.

Judy was a member of the Curryville Church of the Brethren and was a 1961 graduate of Central High School. She retired from Cove Shoe in 2006 after more than 30 years of service and previously owned and operated a beauty shop in Woodbury.

Judy enjoyed cross stitching and going out for breakfast and lunch with family and friends.

Friends will be received from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Curryville Church of the Brethren, 1535 Curryville Road, Martinsburg, with Pastor David Stiles officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family to help with expenses.
