His lottery number was No. 90 and he went to Fort Dix and after graduation went to Fort Lee in Virginia. He was then sent to serve in Kaiserslautern, Germany, during the Vietnam Era. After his tour of duty in Germany he returned to his old job at the Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown. He then worked for Foremost Industries then spent the rest of his working at the Westinghouse Plant at Bedford (now known as Bedford Materials).

John was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God, where he served faithfully in past years on the Pastor and Church Council. He had been a Sunday school teacher, presently serving on the Youth Board and the Audio Visual Engineer Team, was responsible for the radio broadcast every Sunday morning on the Bedford radio station, hunters banquet director. When the church leagues play softball he played shortstop, had lots of fun and fellowship. John always had a servant’s heart wherever he was needed. He helped set up for veterans meal.

John was a loving and devoted “Pa Pa” to Alexis Dawn and Alivia Paige.

He is survived by wife Connie (Daley) Kring, and also survived by sister Valorie (Kring) McCardell, wife of Tony Torres, of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Stanford Worrell, of Everett; brother-in-law, Randal Eugene Daley, husband of Lucy Karen Daley, of Central City; and the following nieces and nephews; Melissa, Mary, Stephanie and Tiffany.
