Edith Keifman

SaxtonEdith Keifman, 93, of Saxton, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at The Village of Morrisons Cove in Martinsburg.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1926, in Defiance, a daughter of the late Alexander and Celia (Grace) Solomon.

On Feb. 10, 1946 in Defiance, she was united in marriage to Lloyd T. “Pete” Keifman. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2008.

Edith is survived by her children, Pamela, married to Robert Schmidt of Macomb, Mich.; Deborah, married to Louis Lesnoff of East Tawas, Mich.; Steven Keifman, married to Phoebe (Killian) of Saxton; Timothy Keifman, married to JoEllen (Lazor) of Saxton; sister Patricia Miller; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Stapleton; son, Dennis Keifman; and siblings Alberta, Emma, Joseph, James, Lucille and Gracey.

Edith owned and operated the Friendly Tavern in Saxton for many years until her retirement.

Edith was of the Methodist faith.

Private burial will be held at Langdondale Cemetery.
