Doris Jane (Miller) Price, 89, formerly of Everett, went to live with the Lord on Oct. 12, 2021.

She was born in Everett, the daughter of the late George Miller and Elsie (Jay) (Wolford) Miller, and the wife of the late Omer Lee Price.

Doris is survived by children: Cheryl (Price) Carlin and husband, Leo Carlin, of York, and son Mark Price of Everett; grandchildren: Erin Carlin, Melissa (Price) Parrish, Amber (Carlin) Mishkin, Mark Price Jr., Ciara (Samborn) Crumpler, Adam Carlin, Casey Samborn, and Price Samborn; great-grandchildren: Michael Parish, Marlena Parish, Shane Carlin, Henry Mishkin, Lilly Crumpler, Finn Carlin, Mirabel Mishkin, and Parker Price.

She was preceded in death by husband, Omer Lee Price; daughters: Carolyn Price, Janice (Price) Samborn and husband, Daniel Samborn; parents, Elsie and George Miller; sisters: Ruth Miller, Betty (Miller) Kagarise, Grace (Miller) Hott, Joe Miller, Isaac Wolford, and Stanley Wolford.

Doris first attended the Pillar of Fire Church and then became a member of the Pennwood Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also attended Mount Union Church. After working at the Lion Sewing Factory for 18 years, she trained and certified as a healthcare aid and provided care for many area residents. In 2005, she moved to York to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed visiting her children, decorating her home, canning, sewing, caring for her pets, and gardening.

The family asks that donations be made to Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 998 S Russell St., York, PA 17402, or Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270, Harrisburg, PA 17110 in lieu of flowers. Friends and family may share memories online at

Funeral services and burial will be private.
