Christerpher William “Chris” Peck, 22, of Bedford, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at his residence.

Born Feb. 28, 1996, in Morgantown, West Virginia, he was the son of Tia Peck.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, George Donald Brode.

Chris was a 2014 graduate of Bedford High School and Vo-Tech Center. He was employed by Kennametal in Bedford.

Chris leaves behind a son: Douglass Hockenberry, of Everett; his mother, Tia Peck and fiancée, Robert Lowery; Chris’s fiancée, Faith Wylie, Bedford; his two brothers, James Thomas “JT” Peck and wife, Kristen, of Cumberland, Md.; and Matthew Bradley Miller of Bedford; his grandmothers, Patricia Peck and Donna Shook, both of Bedford; his great-grandmothers, Donna Brode, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Shirley Brode of Westernport, Md.; his grandfather, Robert T. Peck and wife, Anita, of Cumberland, Md. Chris also leaves behind his special aunts, Dawn Gibbs of Bedford; Amanda Taylor of Cumberland, Md.; and Shari and Tonya Bartlett of Florida; his aunt and godmother, Krista Price of Fort Ashby, W.Va.; special cousins, Destiny and Taryn Gibbs, of Cumberland, Md.; and Cori Hutson and William “Billy” Price, III, of Fort Ashby, W.Va.; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, ( on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Carolyn Yacenech officiating.
