Expect delays at the Hopewell Bridge project.

Prime contractor HRI Inc., of State College on Monday will adjust traffic patterns on as part of the Hopewell Bridge replacement project in Hopewell Borough. A traffic change will take place to remove two sets of temporary traffic signals and place traffic onto two lanes of the new alignment on Route 26. Motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through the area by watching for workers and equipment moving in and out of the work area. Milling and paving, as well as shoulder upgrades and installation of a new guide rail to follow.

Palo Alto will host a peach festival.

Peach festival will be held rain or shine from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Palo Alto United Methodist pavilion, 1798 Hyndman Road, Hyndman. Hot dogs, chili dogs, sloppy joes, ham barbecue, macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans, peach Jell-O, pie, crisp, dumplings, cobbler and cake, all featuring peaches, will be served, along with coffee, water, soda, homemade peach ice cream, whole pies and cobblers. The festival will be hosted by the Four Point Harmony Charge of Hyndman, Palo Alto, Cooks Mill and Wellersburg United Methodist churches. Social distancing will be practiced. People will be served.
