The Bedford County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees met Dec. 7 and held a covered dish meeting at the Bedford Colonial Baptist Church to start the Christmas season.

Darlene Wareham, chairwoman for the event, had decorated the hall and all enjoyed a delicious meal. After the meal, the group sang Christmas carols accompanied by Bobbie Replogle on the piano.

Each person had brought a gift to be used the “stealing gift game.” Door prizes purchased by Darlene Wareham were then given out.

The group will meet again for the semiannual luncheon on April 25 at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House.

All school retirees are encouraged to join the group. If interested, contact Stan Howes, president, at 623-1661.
