Strawberry Festival at Rays Cove Christian Church has been canceled for this year due to COVID-19. The festival was scheduled for June 20.
Motorcycle Ride for Hope to benefit ReNewing Hope Ministries Ladies Recovery Center will be held on July 11. The ride, noted by HonorBound Motorcycle Ministry, will begin at the Breezewood Lighthouse Assembly of God Church and end at Rehoboth New Life Church in Needmore with a meal being served after the ride. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at the Breezewood church, and the ride pulls out at 2 p.m. The ride is about 2 1/2 hours long with several stops made along the way. Spanish Missionary Scripture Assembly is being held at Liberty Independent Baptist Church. Assembly times are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. June 22 and June 23. Shawnee Charge of the United Methodist Church is holding in-person services at 8 a.m. at Manns Choice, 9:15 a.m. at Buffalo Mills and 10:45 a.m. at Helixville. Worship services also can be viewed online through the Shawnee Charge YouTube Channel.
Trinity Reformed Church of Osterburg has resumed in-person church services at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. There will be no Sunday school. For safety, the church recommends wearing face masks.
