The contact email address printed on the county’s mail-in ballot envelopes is not correct.

The email address “elections@bedfordcountypa.gov” that was printed on the envelopes sent to voters who had requested a mail-in ballot is not correct. Voters with questions regarding the election should email dbrown@bedfordcountypa.org. Commissioner Deb Baughman said the misprinted email will not cause any problems regarding the mail-in ballots.

Smoke testing scheduled.

Weather permitting, the Bedford Township Municipal Authority will conduct smoke testing in various areas of the township’s sanitary sewer system Oct. 19 throough Oct. 23 between 8 a.m. and 3 p..m. Notices have been sent directly to customers affected by USPS or email. Residents with questions may contact the township office at 623-7879, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Bedford Rotary Club plans its annual pork and sauerkraut dinner.

Because of ongoing coronavirus concerns, the dinner will consist of take-out meals only served via a drive-through at Bedford American Legion Post 113. The event will be held Monday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu includes pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, sides, roll and butter and a dessert. All meals are $10. Tickets must be purchased in advance from any Rotarian, at Coldwell Banker SKS Realty on on Juniata Street in downtown Bedford, or at the AT&T store in the Bedford Walmart Plaza. No tickets will be sold on site. All proceeds benefit local Rotary projects.
