The deadline to register for the May 21 primary is April 22.

Online Voter Registration is one way to register or eligible voters may visit the Bedford County elections office at the county building in Bedford. Individuals wishing to register to vote in the May 21 primary must be a citizen of the United States, the state and the precinct in which they live for at least one month before the primary. They also must be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of the primary. Visit pavoterservices.pa.gov for a form to register. When a voter votes for the first time in a precinct, he or she must show a form of identification. Call the county board of elections at 623-4807 or visit www.votespa.com/ID for more information.

Mann Township supervisors will hold a bulky waste day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 4 for township residents.

Bring old furniture, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves and other large items. Do not bring TVs, computers or printers, paints, cleaners, gas, oil, chemicals, hazardous materials, trash or garbage. Passenger car tires will be accepted at $2 each or $4 if on rim. Tires from tractors and bigger items will be accepted for $5 each.
