Bedford Middle School pupils honored

Six Bedford Middle School students, shown at right, have been recognized with Bison Awards for November and December. To be eligible for the award, a student must be “caught” doing a Random Act Of Kindness. Twenty-four students were included in the drawing. Each winner receive a $25 gift card to Walmart. Reese makes president’s list

Heather Reese, a resident of Hyndman was among 275 students from Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester, Minnesotar, who made the president’s list for fall semester. Students must achieve a 4.0 grade-point average to be named to the list.

Dunmore on list

James Dunmore of Queen has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where he is a liberal arts major. Students must achieve at least at 3.75 grade-point average to be named to the list.

Conley on list

Taylor N. Conley, a fourth-year animal science major at Iowa State University, has been named to the university’s dean’s list for the fall semester. Students must achieve at least a 3.5 grade-point average to be named to the list.

Three earn degrees

Three area residents have earned degrees from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson. Janice Davis of Alum Bank graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Lydia Grimes of Bedford earned an Associate of Science in nursing. Clyde C. Weyandt Jr. of Claysburg graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.

Morse named to list

Alannah Morse of Everett has been named to Susquehanna University’s dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. Students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade-point average to be named to the list. Morse, a biology major, is a graduate of Everett Area High School.

Elliott on list

Samantha Elliott of Bedford has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Point Park University. Students must achieve at least at 3.72 grade-point average for the list.

Reed on list

Ariel Reed of Woodbury has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre for the fall semester. Students must obtain a minimum 3.5 grade-point average for the list.

Smith named to list

Mikaela Smith, a graphic design major from Roaring Spring, has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. Students must achieve a 4.0 grade-point average for the list.
