South Central Blind Association is selling fruit baskets in two sizes. A large basket will contain three grapefruits, four oranges, five red delicious apples, five golden delicious apples, two bananas, for $15 each, while small baskets will contain one grapefruit, two oranges, four red delicious apples, four golden delicious apples and two bananas, for $10 each. Schellsburg and Old Log Church Historical Society will host their tree trimming and voting for the decorated snowmen contest at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 behind the Zone in Schellsburg. Santa will be present. Refreshments will be served.

Sunday brunch will be served by the Cove Lions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 11 at the club’s community building in Loysburg. Cost for the all-you-can-eat meal will be $12.

Bedford Area Senior Center will host holiday cookie and candy sale fundraiser from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 14, 15, 16 at the center. Donations of cookies and candy will be accepted at the center 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 and noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 9. It is requested no pies or cakes be donated. Bloody Run Historical Society will meet at 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Everett Free Library. Plans for 2022 will be discussed. The historic exhibit at the Everett Free Library in December will be a Christmas display, along with a tribute to Vaughn Horton’s Christmas songs.

Bedford County Chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at Hoss’s Restaurant near the Bedford turnpike interchange Dec. 8 at 11:30 a.m. The Christmas party will be held. Claysburg Area Public Library will host an open house from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 4. There will be crafts, STEM activities, books for young children and refreshments.

Tenth annual craft show at St. Thomas Hall in Bedford will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5. There will be more than 50 crafters. The kitchen will be open with a menu that will include a yuengling battered fish platter. There will be plenty of parking.

Changes in the Parkway (CHiP) is sponsoring two Christmas decorating contests open to all residents of the Tussey Mountain School District. Registration forms are available on the Saxton Market bulletin board and on the CHiP Facebook page. The residential contest will include the door and 24 inches surrounding. Toys are being collected for Bedford County Christmas for Children, a local organization collecting toys for Bedford County families in need, at Thomas Chevrolet in Bedford. People can drop off unwrapped toys for children ages newborn to 18 years by Dec. 15. All donations go to local families through Bedford County Children and Youth Services.

Frontier Patriots Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet at noon Dec. 11 at The Dream restaurant, 1500 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg. The chapter includes Bedford, Blair, Clearfield and Huntingdon counties. Membership is open to any male age 18 or older who provides proof of being a lineal descendant from a patriot who served in the Revolutionary War or an individual who gave aid and support to American Colonists during the Revolution.

Egolf Park’s annual fresh pine Christmas swag and wreath sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Park Pavilion, located at the corner of Main and Egolf roads, Bedford.
